Boog Brown’s new album, Brown Study, is now available via Mello Music Group and addition to the album she has put out a new single to celebrate the release. For her latest, Boog injects the hip-hop world with a little dose of romance with the track “My Love.”
“My Love” explores often-untouched terrain in the hip-hop community: true love. “Tryin to find that balance with romance in this type of industry that I am in can be difficult,” says Boog. “I wanted to write a true love song that wasn’t all cheese.” While the task of getting harder heads to listen up to such a delicate topic can be a tall order, Boog takes on the task and excels. With a sultry hook and fervent yet endearing lyrics the emcee’s message of “Love makes the world go round, love is balance” is not only heard but, like her budding career, is respected by her peers.
