Twitter has been an integral part of hip hop over the last few years. Naturally, in a genre as competitive as hip hop, you expect beefs. Beef that has taken the stage on Twitter. Take for instance last week. Keyshia Cole and Lil Kim exchanged words on the great social platform over friendship. Yes, friendship. Dead End Hip Hop takes a look this week at Twitter and it’s impact on hip hop.

Dead End Hip Hop | Webisode 16: Un (Common) White House Visit
Common was at the White House for the “Evening of Poetry” last week amid a lot of controversy. Or, simply put, Fox News took shots. As hip hop heads, you all know that Common is not a vile rapper as he was portrayed on Fox News, Bill O’Reilly, and Sean Hannity.
Dead End Hip Hop takes a look at this invitation, the choice of Common, and Fox News point of view of Common even after they honored him a few years back. Hip Hop is not beyond politics as the culture has always been socially conscious and uplifting. Common has been one of those champions

Video | Dead End Hip Hop | Webisode 14: The (Odd Future) of Hip Hop
Hip hop is an interesting place. On one end you have Lil B. On the other end you have Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All or OFWGKTA. Each are on different end of the hip hop spectrum. This week, Dead End Hip Hop continues their look at some of hip hop’s newest buzz acts with Odd Future.
Odd Future burst on the scene out of seemingly nowhere beefing with entities such as 2dopeboyz, B.o.B. and Steve Harvey. For whatever reason. Led by Tyler the Creator, now they are everywhere appearing in mainstream publications such as the New York Times, Pitchfork, and Rolling Stone. They are not mainstream.
They have recently started their own label, Odd Future Records, in which the own complete control and direction distributed through Red Distribution, a Sony company. It only makes sense since they have such a different style that if a corporation was to attempt to mess with their “secret sauce”, Odd Future wouldn’t have one. Check out Dead End Hip Hop on Odd Future.
Music | Joe Budden-Ordinary Love Sh*t Pt. 3 (Closure)
